Tessy Obasuyi built Sugar Kelly from a single act of care and a decade of mastering her craft across Toronto's most iconic neighbourhoods. Her studies in nursing instilled a belief that has never left her: dignity, attention to detail, and genuine care are non-negotiable, whether in a hospital or a salon chair. That standard drives every service and every finish at Sugar Kelly.
Beyond the salon, Tessy founded Kelly Cares, a youth-led non-profit and the philanthropic arm of Sugar Kelly, using beauty as a catalyst for community health, wellbeing, and meaningful impact. More than a stylist, she is a builder, dedicated to creating experiences that are elevated, intentional, and designed to make every person who walks through our doors feel seen, cared for, and fully themselves.
